Running offers a world of adventure, confidence building, self-discovery, and abundant energy. Before I ran my first marathon, I was too tired, too overwhelmed, and too afraid to fail. I didn’t know where to start and I had no idea how to fit running into my schedule?
In my 15 years of clinical practice, I see this pattern time and time again. People are really great at coming up with goals. People have great intentions of acting out these goals but life happens, we get lost and lose sight.
I am here today to tell you that You do not have to go through this process alone. I am your running guide. I am like an air traffic controller for runners. You are flying the plane. My job is to help you get from point A to point B while lessening the turbulence along the way.
I have been in your shoes. When I first started running, the end goal seemed so far away. So unattainable. In the beginning, I had a hard time running to the library and back which was about only 1km away! With proper guidance and consistent support, I was able to cross that finish line. And let me tell you, that is one of the greatest thrills life can bring. I was laughing. I was crying. I couldn’t believe that I did it. Me! And you will do it too. I will be your chief cheerleader on a path that view running as your tool to building optimal health.
